CVE-2007-0215

33
FAUCET Score

CVE-2007-0215 describes a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Microsoft Excel 2000, 2002, 2003, and Excel Viewer. This flaw allows a remote, user-assisted attacker to execute arbitrary code by crafting a malicious .XLS BIFF file containing a malformed Named Graph record, leading to memory corruption. With a CVSS score of 7.6, it is considered highly severe due to its network attack vector, high attack complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
