CVE-2006-6291 describes a stack overflow vulnerability in the IMAP module (MEIMAPS.EXE) of MailEnable Professional and Enterprise versions. A remote, authenticated attacker can trigger a denial of service by sending a specially crafted, long argument containing asterisk and question mark characters to the DELETE command, causing the server to crash. With a CVSS score of 6.8, this vulnerability is rated as medium severity. It requires authentication (Au:S) but has low attack complexity (AC:L) and can lead to a complete denial of service (A:C).
