CVE-2006-5968 describes an insecure permissions vulnerability in MDaemon versions 9.0.5, 9.0.6, 9.51, and 9.53, allowing local users to execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability stems from the MDaemon application folder having overly permissive access for "Users," enabling the creation of malicious DLLs (RASAPI32.DLL or MPRAPI.DLL) in the untrusted search path. This local attack has low complexity and could lead to partial compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
