This flaw allows a local attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the system through a symlink attack targeting the fancontrol temporary file. With a CVSS score of 2.1 (low severity), the attack requires local access and has a low attack complexity, resulting in a potential impact of partial integrity compromise.
