CVE-2004-2320 describes a vulnerability in BEA WebLogic Server and Express versions 8.1 SP2 and earlier, 7.0 SP4 and earlier, 6.1 through SP6, and 5.1 through SP13. The default configuration of these products responds to HTTP TRACE requests, enabling cross-site tracing (XST) attacks when combined with cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 5.8) allows remote attackers to steal sensitive information due to its network attack vector and medium attack complexity.
