CVE-2004-0630 describes a critical arbitrary code execution vulnerability in Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 and 5.0.6 for Unix and Linux, and potentially other versions. Attackers can exploit a flaw in the uudecoding feature by embedding shell metacharacters in a PDF filename, leading to complete compromise of the affected system. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no authentication required, resulting in full confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
