CVE-2004-0190 describes a critical vulnerability in Symantec FireWall/VPN Appliance model 200, where the password for the administration page is recorded in cleartext. This cleartext password can be cached on an administrator's local system or a proxy, making it susceptible to theft. An attacker could exploit this with low complexity over the network to gain full administrative privileges, leading to potential compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
