26
FAUCET Score

CVE-2002-2390 describes a critical buffer overflow vulnerability in the IDENT daemon (identd) of Trillian versions 0.6351, 0.725, 0.73, 0.74, and 1.0 pro. This flaw allows remote, unauthenticated attackers to trigger a denial of service (crash) and potentially execute arbitrary code by sending a crafted, excessively long request. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this vulnerability presents a severe risk due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its age and high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, nor are there public exploits available in Metasploit, Nuclei, or ExploitDB, and it has received no significant community discussion or media coverage.
