CVE-2002-1306

21
FAUCET Score

CVE-2002-1306 describes multiple buffer overflows in the LISa component of KDE 2.x (2.1 and later) and KDE 3.x (before 3.0.4). This vulnerability allows both local and potentially remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through the "lisa" daemon, and remote attackers via a crafted "lan://" URL. With a CVSS score of 7.5, it is considered highly severe due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and potential for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its age and severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
