CVE-2002-0174

CVE-2002-0174 describes a local privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the nsd daemon on SGI IRIX systems prior to version 6.5.11. An attacker can exploit this flaw by performing a symlink attack on the nsd.dump file, enabling them to overwrite arbitrary files and subsequently gain root privileges.
