CVE-2002-0094 describes a critical command injection vulnerability in BSCW (Basic Support for Cooperative Work) versions 3.x and prior to 4.06. Specifically, the config_converters.py script allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands by embedding shell metacharacters within filenames during conversion processes. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, potentially leading to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While no active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion has been observed, its age and the lack of readily available exploits do not diminish the inherent risk.
