CVE-2000-0199 describes a weak encryption vulnerability in Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Enterprise Manager. When registering a new SQL Server without enabling the "Always prompt for login name and password" option, Enterprise Manager stores login credentials using weak encryption. This local vulnerability (CVSS 7.2 HIGH) allows an attacker with local access to potentially decrypt sensitive login information, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this decades-old vulnerability.
