This flaw allows any authenticated user to escalate their own or another account's privileges to superuser by submitting a crafted request to the user edit endpoint, due to improper validation of the 'is_superuser' field. Rated 9.4 Critical (CVSS:4.0), the vulnerability requires only low privileges and no user interaction, leading to complete compromise of application functionality.
