CVE-2026-34060 is a critical arbitrary code execution vulnerability affecting Ruby LSP versions prior to Shopify.ruby-lsp 0.10.2 and ruby-lsp 0.26.9. It allows an attacker to execute arbitrary Ruby code when a user opens a VS Code project containing a specially crafted .vscode/settings.json file, due to unsanitized interpolation of the rubyLsp.branch setting. Rated with a CVSS score of 9.8 Critical, this vulnerability has a network attack vector and low attack complexity, leading to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
