CVE-2026-33151

25
FAUCET Score

CVE-2026-33151 is a high-severity denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Socket.IO versions prior to 3.3.5, 3.4.4, and 4.2.6. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted packet that forces the server to buffer an excessive number of binary attachments, leading to memory exhaustion. Rated 8.7 HIGH, this vulnerability has a low attack complexity and requires no user interaction, with the primary impact being a denial-of-service. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion regarding this issue. Organizations using affected Socket.IO versions should upgrade to patched versions 3.3.5, 3.4.4, or 4.2.6 to mitigate this risk.
