CVE-2026-3288 is a high-severity vulnerability in ingress-nginx, allowing the `nginx.ingress.kubernetes.io/rewrite-target` Ingress annotation to inject arbitrary configuration into nginx. This flaw can lead to arbitrary code execution within the ingress-nginx controller's context and the disclosure of Secrets accessible to it. With a CVSS v3.1 score of 8.8 (High), it presents a network attack vector with low attack complexity, requiring only low privileges for exploitation. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, no public exploit code available, and community discussion remains minimal.
