CVE-2026-29780 describes a path traversal vulnerability in the examples/recursively_extract_attachments.py script of the eml_parser Python module, affecting versions prior to 2.0.1. This flaw allows an attacker to write arbitrary files outside the intended output directory by crafting malicious attachment filenames.
