CVE-2026-28777

27
FAUCET Score

CVE-2026-28777 describes a critical vulnerability in the International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) SFX2100 Satellite Receiver, stemming from a trivial default password for the 'user' account. This allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to gain unauthorized SSH access, initially to a restricted shell, but then trivially escalate to a full interactive shell. With a CVSS score of 9.2 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, posing a significant risk of high impact to system confidentiality. While there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion, the ease of exploitation makes it a serious concern.
