CVE-2026-27637 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability affecting FreeScout, a PHP Laravel-based help desk application, prior to version 1.8.206. The flaw stems from a predictable and static authentication token generation mechanism, allowing an attacker who obtains the application's APP_KEY to compute valid tokens for any user, including administrators. This enables full account takeover without requiring a password. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, nor are there publicly available exploit modules or significant community discussion beyond a single mention.
