CVE-2026-26335 is a critical remote code execution vulnerability affecting Calero VeraSMART versions prior to 2022 R1. The flaw stems from the use of static ASP.NET/IIS machineKey values, which, if obtained by an attacker, allow for the creation of malicious ViewState payloads. This leads to server-side deserialization and remote code execution with IIS application privileges. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction, resulting in complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Currently, there is no known active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
