CVE-2026-26213 describes an unauthenticated OS command injection vulnerability in thingino-firmware versions up to the firmware-2026-03-16 release. This flaw exists within the WiFi captive portal CGI script, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root by injecting malicious code through unsanitized HTTP parameter names. With a CVSS score of 8.7 (HIGH), exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction and can lead to full persistent device compromise, including root password resets and SSH authorized_keys modification. While there is currently no public exploit code available and it is not listed on the CISA KEV catalog, the vulnerability has received some community discussion.
