CVE-2026-24685 is an arbitrary file write vulnerability affecting OpenProject versions prior to 16.6.6 and 17.0.2. An authenticated attacker with repository browsing permissions can inject git show command-line options via a crafted 'rev' value in the repository diff download endpoint. This allows for the creation or overwriting of arbitrary files on the server, leading to data loss and denial of service. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 8.8 (High) due to its low attack complexity and high impact on integrity and availability.
