CVE-2025-7054 is an infinite loop vulnerability in Cloudflare quiche versions 0.15.0 through 0.24.4, triggered when sending QUIC packets containing RETIRE_CONNECTION_ID frames. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by sending specially crafted frames after a successful handshake, causing the victim to enter an infinite loop when attempting to retire a connection ID that matches the packet's own connection ID. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 6.5 (Medium), indicating a network-based attack with low complexity and high availability impact, but no confidentiality or integrity impact. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
