CVE-2025-66414

27
FAUCET Score

CVE-2025-66414 describes a DNS rebinding vulnerability in the MCP TypeScript SDK, affecting HTTP-based servers running on localhost without authentication. Prior to version 1.24.0, the SDK did not enable DNS rebinding protection by default, allowing a malicious website to bypass same-origin policy. This could enable an attacker to invoke local tools or access resources exposed by the MCP server on behalf of the user. With a CVSS score of 7.6 (High), the vulnerability has a low attack complexity and requires user interaction, potentially leading to high confidentiality and integrity impacts. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
