CVE-2025-66214

27
FAUCET Score

CVE-2025-66214 is a critical Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability affecting wearefrank Ladybug versions prior to 3.0-20251107.114628. The vulnerability stems from insecure deserialization of user-controlled, gzip-compressed XML files uploaded via specific API endpoints, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code on the server. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (HIGH), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low privileges and no user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While there is no current evidence of active exploitation, nor publicly available exploit code in Metasploit, Nuclei, or ExploitDB, the vulnerability's high FAUCET Risk Score of 90/100 and the ease of exploitation warrant immediate patching to version 3.0-20251107.114628.
