An unauthenticated attacker can crash the UPF by sending a malformed PFCP Session Establishment Request with an empty or truncated IPv4 address in the CreateFAR, leading to an out-of-bounds read. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), indicating a network-based attack with low complexity and high impact on availability, as it can repeatedly disrupt user-plane services.
