CVE-2025-59353 affects Linux Foundation’s Dragonfly, an open-source P2P file distribution system, prior to version 2.1.0. The vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to obtain valid TLS certificates for arbitrary IP addresses by exploiting a lack of validation in the Manager’s Certificate gRPC service, effectively bypassing mTLS authentication. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.5) has a low attack complexity and could lead to significant integrity impacts by rendering mTLS useless. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
