CVE-2025-54387 is a critical path prefix bypass vulnerability affecting unjs ipx, an image optimizer. The flaw, present in versions 1.3.1 and below, 2.0.0-0 through 2.1.0, and 3.0.0 through 3.1.0, allows attackers to bypass directory restrictions due to an improper string comparison when allowed directories lack a trailing path separator. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
