CVE-2025-54081 is a high-severity vulnerability affecting Sunshine, a self-hosted game stream host for Moonlight, specifically on Windows systems. Prior to version 2025.923.33222, the SunshineService was installed with an unquoted executable path, allowing for potential privilege escalation. An attacker with local low-privileged access could place a malicious executable in a specific directory, leading to the execution of arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges, resulting in high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
