CVE-2025-53537 is a traffic-induced memory leak in LibHTP versions 0.5.50 and below, a security-aware HTTP parser used by products like OISF LibHTP. This vulnerability, rated 7.5 HIGH on CVSS, allows an unauthenticated attacker to remotely starve the process of memory, leading to a denial of service and loss of visibility. While no active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion has been observed, a workaround exists by disabling lzma-enabled in the Suricata configuration, and the issue is fixed in version 0.5.51.
