CVE-2025-51060 describes a vulnerability in CPUID cpuz.sys version 1.0.5.4, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the kernel context on 64-bit Windows systems where core isolation is disabled. By manipulating DeviceIoControl parameters, an attacker can perform RDMSR and WRMSR operations to hook KiSystemCall64 and then use Return-Oriented Programming to disable SMAP and execute user-mode syscall handlers.
