29
FAUCET Score

CVE-2025-5061 describes an arbitrary file upload vulnerability in the WP Import Export Lite WordPress plugin, affecting all versions up to and including 3.9.29. This flaw, due to missing file type validation in the 'wpie_parse_upload_data' function, allows authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access (and administrator-granted permissions) to upload malicious files, potentially leading to remote code execution. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (HIGH), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low privileges and no user interaction, posing a significant risk of high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
