CVE-2025-49587 is a high-severity cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting XWiki versions prior to 15.10.16, 16.4.7, and 16.10.2. An attacker with low privileges can create a document containing a malicious XWiki.Notifications.Code.NotificationDisplayerClass object, which, when edited and saved by an administrator, executes as raw HTML. This allows for high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While the vulnerability has a CVSS score of 8.0, there is currently no public exploit code, active exploitation, or significant community discussion surrounding it.
