CVE-2025-48738 is an e-mail flooding vulnerability in StrangeBee TheHive versions 5.2.0 before 5.2.16, 5.3.0 before 5.3.11, 5.4.0 before 5.4.10, and 5.5.0 before 5.5.1. This medium-severity flaw (CVSS 6.9) allows unauthenticated remote attackers to repeatedly trigger the password reset feature. The potential impact includes mailbox storage exhaustion for targeted users, SMTP server blacklisting due to reputation damage, and outbound mail queue overload. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
