CVE-2025-46551 is a hostname verification bypass vulnerability in JRuby-OpenSSL versions 0.12.1 through 0.15.3, affecting JRuby versions 9.3.4.0 through 9.4.12.0 and 10.0.0.0. This flaw allows a man-in-the-middle attacker to present a valid SSL certificate for a different domain, which JRuby-OpenSSL would erroneously accept, compromising secure connections. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 3.7 (LOW) due to its high attack complexity and limited impact (partial integrity loss).
