CVE-2025-43917 is a high-severity privilege escalation vulnerability affecting Pritunl Client versions prior to 1.3.4220.57. An administrator with local access to the /Applications directory can exploit this by replacing a removed pritunl-service file, which is then executed as root by a LaunchDaemon. This allows for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While the CVSS score is 8.2, there is currently no known active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
