CVE-2025-35061 describes an NTLMv2 hash capture vulnerability in Newforma Info Exchange (NIX) and Newforma Project Center. An unauthenticated remote attacker can force NIX to initiate an SMB connection to an attacker-controlled system, thereby capturing the NTLMv2 hash of the NIX service account. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 5.9) has a network attack vector and high attack complexity, potentially leading to compromise of the service account credentials. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
