CVE-2025-34469

24
FAUCET Score

CVE-2025-34469 is a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability affecting Cowrie honeypot versions prior to 2.9.0, specifically within its emulated wget and curl commands. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this by repeatedly issuing these commands to generate unbounded HTTP traffic to arbitrary external targets. This allows the honeypot to be abused as a denial-of-service amplification node, masking the attacker's true origin. The vulnerability is rated High severity (CVSS 7.5) due to its network attack vector, low complexity, and high impact on availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
