CVE-2025-31116 is a critical Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability affecting Mobile Security Framework (MobSF) versions prior to 4.3.2. The flaw stems from an insufficient fix for a previous vulnerability (CVE-2024-29190), where the valid_host() function's use of socket.gethostbyname() can be abused via DNS rebinding. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), this vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code, steal sensitive data, and disrupt services with low attack complexity. Despite its high severity, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
