CVE-2025-30656 is an Improper Handling of Additional Special Element vulnerability affecting Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with MS-MPC, MS-MIC and SPC3, and SRX Series. This flaw allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to trigger a Denial-of-Service (DoS) by sending specifically formatted SIP invites to the SIP ALG, causing a memory corruption and subsequent FPC crash. While the system recovers, repeated attacks lead to a sustained DoS. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), indicating a severe impact. It can be exploited remotely over the network with low attack complexity, requiring no user interaction or privileges, and its sole impact is high availability loss. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, and no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) is available. Community discussion and media coverage for this CVE are minimal.
