CVE-2025-12419 is a critical vulnerability affecting Mattermost versions 10.12.1 and earlier, 10.11.4 and earlier, 10.5.12 and earlier, and 11.0.3 and earlier. It allows an authenticated attacker with team creation privileges to take over a user account by manipulating OAuth state tokens during OpenID Connect authentication, provided email verification is disabled and OAuth/OpenID Connect is enabled. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 9.9 (Critical) due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
