CVE-2024-9947 describes an authentication bypass vulnerability in all versions of the ProfilePress Pro plugin for WordPress up to 4.11.1. This flaw stems from insufficient verification of the user returned by social login tokens, allowing unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing user, including administrators, if they possess the user's email and the user lacks an existing account for the social login service. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity, potentially leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
