CVE-2024-9177 describes a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Themedy Toolbox plugin for WordPress, affecting versions up to and including 1.0.15. The flaw stems from insufficient input sanitization in several shortcodes, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 5.4) could lead to client-side script execution when a user views an affected page, potentially compromising user sessions or defacing content.
