CVE-2024-6155 is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) and Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 9.0.0. Authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access can exploit a missing capability check and lack of sanitization to make arbitrary web requests and upload malicious SVG files containing XSS payloads. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 5.4) could lead to information disclosure, including cloud instance metadata, and client-side script execution. While a partial patch was released in version 8.9.9 and a full patch in 9.0.1, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
