CVE-2024-5709 is a Local File Inclusion vulnerability affecting all versions up to and including 7.7 of the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin for WordPress. This high-severity vulnerability, rated 8.8 CVSS, allows authenticated attackers with Author-level access and administrator-granted post permissions to include and execute arbitrary files on the server via the 'layout_name' parameter. Successful exploitation can lead to bypassing access controls, sensitive data exposure, or remote code execution by executing PHP code within included files.
