CVE-2024-5585 addresses an incomplete fix for CVE-2024-1874 in PHP versions 8.1.* before 8.1.29, 8.2.* before 8.2.20, and 8.3.* before 8.3.8, specifically impacting Fedora and PHP distributions. The vulnerability allows for arbitrary command execution on Windows systems when using proc_open() with array syntax, if the command name includes trailing spaces and arguments are controlled by a malicious user.
