CVE-2024-47563 is a path traversal vulnerability affecting all versions of Siemens SINEC Security Monitor prior to V4.9.0. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this flaw by supplying an unvalidated file path to an endpoint designed for CSR file creation. This allows the attacker to create files in arbitrary writable directories, compromising file integrity. Rated with a CVSS score of 5.3 (Medium), the vulnerability has a low attack complexity and requires no user interaction, but its impact is limited to integrity. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion.
