CVE-2024-46917 is a critical vulnerability affecting Diebold Nixdorf Vynamic Security Suite through version 4.3.0 SR01. The flaw stems from insufficient validation of file attributes and the /root directory during integrity checks, enabling attackers to achieve full control of the Windows OS. With a CVSS score of 8.1 (High), this vulnerability allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, recover TPM Disk Encryption keys, and decrypt the Windows system partition with high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
