CVE-2024-42001 is a critical improper authentication vulnerability affecting Vonets industrial wifi bridge relays and repeaters, versions 3.3.23.6.9 and prior. This flaw allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to bypass authentication by sending a specially crafted direct request while another user has an active session. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), it presents a severe risk due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
