CVE-2024-39311 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Publify (versions prior to 10.0.1) and the publify_core rubygem (versions prior to 10.0.2). A publisher can exploit this by crafting a malicious link using the redirect functionality, which an administrator must click. Rated Medium severity (CVSS 5.4), the attack requires user interaction (UI:R) and could lead to privilege escalation, allowing a publisher to become an administrator.
